about the NFST
The
NFST (National Federation of Skilled Tradesmen) is
a non profit making organisation that exists to
pass skilled tradesmen through to end customer. The
NFST recognises skilled tradesmen via work related
learnt skills and certification of qualification. What
is the difference between a tradesman and a
builder?
A tradesman is trained at a college
training centre or on the job in a particular
trade and should have attained a certificate of
competence or be capable of proving that they have
been trained to the required level before they can
call them a tradesman.
A builder can be anybody who wishes to call
themselves a builder as there are No formal
qualifications or certification required.
this is not to say that all builders are not to be
trusted, this just means that should you have a
problem with plumbing why would you call a builder
when you can call a plumber, If the job is Commercial Domestic or Insurance
leave it to a registered tradesman and don't leave
it to chance.
